Rainbow Riches Power Pitch's paytable includes nine pay symbols, which can be divided into four low pays, three mid pays, and two high pays. Low-paying card ranks range from Jacks to Aces, and they all pay the same amount: up to 10x your wager for a full combo. Horseshoes, harps, and hats are mid-pay symbols that can pay up to 50 times your wager. Finally, mushrooms and logos can pay up to 200 times your stake for a five-of-a-kind combination. Aside from the above described pay symbols, there are also Coin Wilds and Pot Scatters. Coin Wilds can replace any of the pay symbols, whereas Pot Scatters are used to activate the Power Pitch feature.
To access the Power Pitch function, find three, four, or five Pot Scatters in view. Depending on how many Pot Scatters you obtain, you'll be assigned to a 5x9, 5x10, or 5x11 grid. And what is the actual feature about? In essence, it is a more complex Hold and Win function that allows you to obtain multiplier and modifier symbols. If you fill a column with special symbols, you'll earn an extra column to work with, however the game board can never be larger than 5x11. There are four modifiers in all, each with its own unique set of special effects.
The Wishing Well modification accumulates all occurring multipliers, whilst the Rainbow modifier increases your maximum number of lives to four. The Fairy modification doubles some multiplier values, whereas the Leprechaun modifier can multiply multipliers in nearby squares. Given how important the Power Pitch function is, it's no surprise that it's also available through the Premium Play option. It's actually rather intriguing, because it never takes you right into the Power Pitch feature. Instead, you can choose between three stake levels before spinning your way into the Power Pitch feature via a little 3x3 slot minigame.
